Project 333: PCS Edition

Since the hubby and I are driving from New York to Alaska for our PCS Dity move I figured this would be a good (and challenging) way to try Project 333!  Project 333 is a challenge to wear only 33 items for 3 months. This is supposed to include shoes, jewelry, other accessories but excludes stuff like underwear, socks, and pjs. But let’s be honest it’s not that serious so I’m going to wing it!

The challenging part about having a 33 item wardrobe for this dity move is that the wardrobe needs to accommodate a wide variety of weather. My challenge will start when TMO picks up our household goods and won’t stop until our household goods are delivered in Alaska so that should be about 3 months. The weather in England right now has been hot but every now and then it gets really cold and wet. The weather in the lower 48 should be pretty warm. But once we get into Canada and into Alaska later this year it’ll be closer to freezing so I need to have a wardrobe that is prepared for all of it. So let’s take a look at what I’m bringing with me…

My 33 items include:

13 tops
1 Dress
5 Bottoms
6 Jackets
3 Pairs of Shoes
3 Bags
1 Bag of Socks and Underwear
1 Bag of Winter Gear

I could have not counted my underwear bag or the bag of winter gear as an item but honestly I ran out of room in my suitcase so I just had to kind of randomly assign items to include. Also, apologies for the grainy pics. iPods do what they can these days 😛

13 Tops & 1 Black Dress

5 Bottoms

6 Jackets

3 Pairs of Shoes

3 Bags

I added the fanny pack just to get to 33 items but I will actually be using it every now and then just so I don’t have to carry a whole purse around during TMO pick up or going on a short hike in New York.

Either each month or at the end of the 3 months I’ll post pictures of the outfits I wear. I don’t plan on wearing something different every day for the 90ish days or even every day in the month. We’ll see how many different outfits I can come up with though 🙂

Stay tuned for more posts about our Alaska Dity move and don’t forget to like, comment and follow!
